Norway: the giant rock and the Preikestolen cliff

The Norwegian Fjords are a real feast for the eyes – the goals of the photographers – and the best way to admire them is probably a cruise: from those of a day as the Norway in a Nutshell to those of a week the choice is vast and I’m sure that everyone can find something of their liking.

But if you want to admire these beautiful landscapes from above? In this case the choice is equally wide, but if you want an “easy ” solution, then that does not require climbing or railways, the Preikestolen, or Pulpit, is certainly a good choice. It is a granite rock formation overlooking the sea (the height of 600 meters) that offers breathtaking views of the Fjord Lysefjord, as you can see from the gallery. Preikestolen is reached by a pleasant walk of about 4 miles, necessary to cover the distance between the parking area where you leave your car / motorbike / camper and the point where the rock falls into the void, opening up the view of a deep incredible ravine. The best starting point for a visit to this amazing place is the city of Stavanger, which is only 25 kilometers from the tourist site and about 450 from Oslo.

But if you don’t want to reach Stavanger , Oslo if you do not like , if flying to Norway terrifies you or if you feel dizzy even when you climb on a chair and do not want to see live what feelings you unleash a sheer drop of 600 meters , you can visit Preikestolen virtually relying on VirtualNorge.

You will not take a cold, will not risk of falling into the void as it unfortunately happened yesterday to a Spanish tourist of 26 years and will have provisions to visual and views that you would never see otherwise .
