The Allianz Arena in Monaco of Bavaria, or the boat as they have affectionately nicknamed it, despite its young age (opened in 2005) has become an icon of the capital of Bavaria visited not only by fans of teams calcium but also by many tourists.

Tourists can enter the stadium both individually and in groups every day of the year except Christmas December 31 and January 1 and of course when the stadium is used for football matches by the two city teams (Bayern and Monaco 1860) and other special events such as concerts.

The guided tour, which lasts an hour, provides amongst other things a visit to the changing rooms, the tunnel for the entry into the field and a conference room (I wonder if they even see the prison cells for violent supporters … ) and is in German but once a day at 11 even in English.

Getting there is easy. Just take the subway U6 direction Garching to arrive at the Monaco subway and get off at Fröttmaning and then follow the signs to Markenwelt found at the third level. Tickets cost 10 euro from 14 years onwards, € 6.5 between 6 and 14 years, free under 6 years old.
