7. The Supperclub (San Francisco)

This restaurant is a gallery during the day and a bar-restaurant in the evening. From 8p.m. a girl, who calls herself “Di va Dan”, appears dressed in sequins with the only purpose to lay with you in bed. The funny point about this restaurant is to eat lying down. There are live performances and the chef cooks on a platform in the center of the restaurant.

8. Medicea Fortezza (Italy)

Located in a former jail in Italy. The most peculiar point of this restaurant is that the waiters, the sommeliers and the chefs are thieves and murderers in their rehabilitation process. The body is placed on a table, similar to an operating table in a hospital, and it can be opened by the place that the customers want to pick the meats inside. Even, the chefs of these corps have bothered to simulate the organs, intestines and the logical bleeding in each cutting. It is a delicious call to the cannibalism.

12. FM (Granada)

The restaurant is located in Granada close to the bus station. FM offers the best fish dishes in the city. It provides shellfish and a great variety of salads. The only weird thing is that it is impossible to find tables and chairs, for the only reason that there aren’t any. You should stand in order to eat. The place is not a synonym of “fashion” cause it attracts people that want to eat real food without any bit of marketing in it. Once there don’t forget to speak to Rosa, the specialist in “fried fish” .The only thing that she speaks about is “tataki”. Go and ask her for the mysterious “tataki”. Finally, Paco the owner will gratefully welcome you there but he will not be talking a lot for the reason that he wants the clients to eat in peace.

13. Archeon Gefsis (Athens)

Everyone speaks about the Ancient Greeks and their sculptures but nobody knows about their cuisine. In Athens, is located the particular restaurant which offers all the forgotten and weird recipes. The recipes are taken from old Ancient Greek writers and translated in Greek. You will not find any potatoes and tomatoes in dishes since the Ancient Greeks just ignored these ingredients. Moreover it is forbidden to use forks since the Ancient Greeks used to use only spoons and knifes. Fascinating? Once there say hi to Homer and Hercules who might be eating next to you :)

  4. Nice list, the winner for me would have to be the Medicea FortezzaI. I like the idea of my pocket and my digestion helping to rehabilitate offenders, would be interested to see what’s on the menu.
