The underwater museums | where the past and the present live together

Diving in the past didn’t make much sense. Nowadays, thanks to underwater museums that show all the old secrets and other forms of art conservation, people have changed their beliefs.  The underwater museums are made up of the story that made them end in the seabed, and thanks to these museums all these monuments are back to life. The first underwater museum is located in Egypt, where you can visit the ancient underwater city of Cleopatra. There are also artificial ones, one of them is the renowned museum of the Underwater Sculpture located in Cancun, which is declared the largest in the world and is exclusively for divers. It is the work of Jason de Caires Taylor and it aims to convert its 400 statues, placed in an area of 150 m2, on a coral habitat to conserve natural reefs and therefore merge art with the underwater life. The museum is expected to be completed in about 500 years.
