9Providenciales, Turks and Caicos
This precious treasure is guarded by the sea of Caribbean. Providenciales is part of the small country of Turks and Caicos Islands. Until 1964 it seemed that technology had not reached this corner of the world and an earlier era the island did not receive motor vehicles, running water, electricity or telephone. Today, thanks to many investments there are a lot of resorts and the island lives mainly through tourism.
