Boracay is a tropical island, surrounded by beautiful white sandy beaches about an hour’s flight from Manila, a few yards from the sea off the largest island of Panay in the Philippines.
For lovers of the sea, the beaches of Boracay can be compared to the best beaches in the Caribbean and south of the South Pacific, as with those of the neighboring Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia.
For those who just want to relax, recharge your batteries, or simply sunbathe, several beachfront hotels offer all the comfort solutions along with the price of a walk from the hotel lobby. The most active are not spoiled for choice; sailing, windsurfing, snorkeling, diving, water skiing and walking Reef. And from evening until dawn, even if the physical permits it you can opt for a vibrant nightlife of restaurants, bars and clubs to dance.
There are a lot of beaches around the island, the White Beach is the one with the quietest in the good season, because it is more sheltered from the winds and currents, than the most exposed Bulabong Beach and Puka Beach. The season monsoon starts from June to October.
Most arrive by plane to Caticlan, Boracay just in front of the island of Panay, where many boats are just waiting for tourists to carry over the short stretch of water.
