For lovers of life, “into the wild” area of Alpes-Maritimes in the south of France is a perfect spot, all in all not so far away for us, especially if we find ourselves in Liguria and Piedmont. Around here there is a certain feeling about the local species and one of the magical places in this sense is the Parc des Loups of Saint-Martin-Vésubie in the Mercantour National Park, one of the nine largest parks in France, about 60 km north of Nice and Menton. The park is open daily from 10:00 to 18:00 (you can check online the calendar with closures), but be careful because the ticket office closes at 16.30 and entrance costs 12 € for adults and 10 € for children aged 4 to 12 years (free under 4 years).
In addition to the observation of local wolves and other species of animals that inhabit the area-you can have a picnic in one of the dedicated areas-one of the attractions of the park (which is located at 1,600 meters above sea level) which is the possibility-in-summer to stay in a tree house in the area between Saint-Martin Vésubie et La Colmiane. The accommodation is ideal for 4 people and costs € 180 per night during the months of June and September and € 200 per night during the months of July and August (breakfast and towels included in the fee). In this period it is also activated the special offer for families, offering free admission in the park for children under 12 years.
