Skiing in Alto Sangro

We are one step into December and the snow makes its appearance. Perhaps this year you’ve decided to give a real white Christmas a shot. So, while in Valle d’Aosta plants are already open, in the largest ski resort in the south, the Alto Sangro in Abruzzo, for two days it’s been snowing. It is very likely for the Ponte dell ‘Immaculate to open.

For the uninitiated, the complex includes the Alto Sangro 150 km of slopes and 60 km cross-country equipped for all types of skiers, from beginners to experts with areas dedicated to children who are learning to ski and those who want to have fun with sleds, bob, mini-quad etc. In addition, for those who decide to stay in Roccaraso, there is also a large ice rink in which to grapple with the skating. After the first snowfall, if there is the need, the slopes are covered with artificial snow from the artificial snow maker of the latest generation.
