Prague is a beautiful city. So beautiful that when visiting you don’t know where to begin. It’s best to have a good map with you before starting your journey to this magical city. Below you’ll find some of the most popular places to see in the city. Many of them are near the centre so staying at a hotel in Prague City centre would be very convenient.
The city has a lot of well known bridges such as the most famous Charles Bridge. There are boats sailing down the river creating a magical image. It’s a great place to enjoy a beautiful sunset. The bridge is used to cross river Vltava and connects with the Old Town.
Thankfully last time we visited we stayed at Jurys Inn Prague which is close to the centre so we had near access to many of these touristic parts of town. Around the city many Baroque statues can be found decorating the bridges and other important parts of it. While walking through the city if you look up you’ll often find domes not seen anywhere else.
You’ll want to dedicate one day to immersing yourself in the Old City. The narrow streets, local souvenirs and idyllic buildings will lead you to the main square where you’ll be conquered by its incredible architecture, its breadth, its astronomical clock and Tyn Church.
To end a day you can try visiting the famous Black Theatre of Prague. Most plays last about an hour and a half and the theater is small but very magical. It’s a beautiful way to close a long day walking through a fairy tale.
Another day should be dedicated to seeing Prague Castle which is one of the most famous in the world. It’s no wonder that it’s considered one of the best and most well preserved.
If you decide to spend your holiday anywhere in Prague, you will certainly enjoy it. What do you plan to see in Prague first?
