Andalusia is not where Europe ends, it’s where it begins. It has everything an exotic summer destination wishes to offer. You’ll have to agree that Andalusia is one of those places that are so magic, you always want to go back. Therefore, why not consider going there this summer to get lost in one of its amazing beaches?
1. Roquetas de Mar – AlmerÃa
Let’s start with lovely AlmerÃa and the Roquetas de Mar beach in its province. It is an urban beach of pebbles and is usually quite crowded so it is best to leave home very early to find a spot for your towel. It’s very beautiful and you wont want to return!
2. Trafalgar Lighthouse Beach – Cadiz
If you like beaches that are less frequented by tourists then the Trafalgar lighthouse beach is certainly just what you want. It’s located at the entrance of the Caños de Meca and as its name suggests, next to the Lighthouse of Trafalgar. Before going there’s something important you should not forget! Food and drinks, as you’ll hardly find a typical beach bar there.
3. Benalmádena Beach – Málaga
Finally, magnificent Costa del Sol! Benalmádena beachs gets very crowded during the summer months as it’s a top destination in Spain and in Europe. The area is also well known for its cuisine so you can try some traditional food after a lovely day at the beautiful beach.
4. Islantilla Beach – Huelva
In the Costa de la Luz the main attraction for an escape are spacious and spectacular beaches. The beach has also been awarded with the Blue Flag for the quality and cleanliness of its waters. It is actually quite distinctive and popular for that exact quality! The getaway is ideal for a couple or a family and the area is very quiet.
5. Bolonia Beach – Cádiz
Finally, we present the beach of Bolonia which is 56 km away from Conil de la Frontera, near the ruins of Baelo Claudia and characterized by huge dunes of fine and white sand that are formed by the east wind. It is simply one of the best in Spain.
