The Caspian Sea, the Dead Sea and the Aral Sea are not seas, but lakes

Did you know that the Caspian Sea, the Dead Sea and the Aral Sea are not seas, but lakes? In fact, the Caspian is the largest lake in the world. Moreover, the lake Baikal in Russia contains more water than the 5 Great Lakes of North America together (Superior, Huron, Michigan, Erie and Ontario), despite that its surface is almost 8 times lower. This is due to its average depth, which is 8 times greater. In fact it is the deepest lake in the world, containing nearly 20% of the world’s fresh water.
