Did you think that all the islands of the list would be tropical? The Isle of Lewis and Harris in Scotland is the exception. In the northern part (Lewis) of the island, the legendary megaliths Catalana is sprout from the ground like a strange and imposing stone city. In the south (Harris) the eastern beaches have some of the oldest known rocks in the world with millions of years of history.
