Greece has thousands of islands, but the most characteristic is the island of Naxos, a unique blend of ancient ruins and beach life. The largest island of the Cyclades and nothing more and nothing less than the childhood home of Zeus, king of the twelve gods. Once, in Naxos, you can reach the small island of Palaria, where the Portara, the site of an ancient temple destroyed is regarded as the symbol of the island.
