Mirror Beach (Praia do Espelho) is one of several beaches that frequently appears on lists as one of the most beautiful beaches in Brazil; it is estimated that Brazil has more than 2,000 beaches spread over more than 7,000 kilometers of coastline, many of them of great natural beauty. Mirror Beach is considered one of the best due to its natural pools, vegetation and its imposing cliffs.
Much of the natural attractions highlighted are shared with its neighboring beaches: the beaches of Trancoso, Arraial d’Ajuda or Caraíva. However, what sets them apart is that Mirror Beach has all the best features of the beaches that surround it combined within the same shore!
One of the best features of Mirror Beach are the beautiful reefs that create natural pools and lakes which often give the sea a turquoise color that is harder to find in the neighboring beaches. Besides its natural swimming pools, Mirror Beach has cliffs made of white sand with palm groves near the sea. The beautiful cove on the north side is protected by such a white cliff.
