Go to the top of the Reichstag

The Reichstag houses the German parliament and the access to the roof is free as long as you declare your visit time. The view of the city from above is one of the best it has to offer.

Stroll along the East Side Gallery

The East Side Gallery, a colorful monument to freedom lies close to the River Spree and is the largest remaining section of the Berlin Wall. More than 100 artists from around the world have left their mark on them, turning it into an open gallery, filled with colorful pronouncements in favor of peace and freedom.

Admire the architecture at the Museum Island

At the edge of the Spree Island there is a complex of five museums, which are UNESCO World Heritage. This is the Pergamon, Bode, Neues, Alte Nationalgalerie and Altes Museum. Entering these is not free, but you can admire the impressive architecture by taking a walk on the island.

Have a picnic at the park

People of Berlin love to inundate the city’s parks, especially in good weather and there they enjoy their beers accompanied by some snacks in an impromptu picnic. Why not do the same?

Find museums with free entrance

There are many museums and attractions in the city that have free entrance to the public, such as the Berlin Wall Memorial and Kunstraum Kreuzberg/Bethanien, which presents outstanding examples of contemporary art.

Admire the Berlin Cathedral

The Renaissance style Cathedral of Berlin, or otherwise known as Berliner Dom will keep you hooked. You can admire the impressive architecture from the outside, but if you want to get inside you may have to pay a fee.
