Everyone goes on vacation for different reasons. Some like to visit historical locations and soak in the history of a town or city; others prefer to throw themselves into a different culture and feast on local cuisines. Then there are those people who love nothing more than heading to a new part of the world and mixing it up with the locals when the sun goes down and partying away until the morning breaks. If that last sentence sounds right up your street, the following five locations are perfect for you.
Las Vegas
Nowhere on the planet comes close to Las Vegas when it comes to being an adult’s playground. Affectionately known as “Sin City,” what happens in Las Vegas stays in Las Vegas, or so the saying goes. The city bills itself as the entertainment capital of the world, and it is easy to see why. Las Vegas has more AAA Five Diamond hotels than any other city globally, is the home to more than 40 casinos and online sportsbooks like Bovada, and has some of the highest-rated restaurants on planet Earth.
There is very little that is off the agenda in Las Vegas; if you want to do it, then there will be someone willing to make it happen. Want to drive and shoot a tank? Head to Las Vegas. Want to see a major sports team in action? Head to Las Vegas. You name it, you can do it in Sin City.
Dublin
Dublin is the capital city, the largest city in Ireland, and one of the hottest nightspots found anywhere globally. If there is one thing the Irish are excellent at, it is having a good time and helping Dublin’s visitors enjoy themselves.
There is plenty to see and do during the day, but Dublin is a city that comes alive at night. Anyone visiting Dublin has to go to the world-famous Temple Bar, south of the River Liffey. Rowdy revelers party the night away to traditional Irish music, and it is fair to say the Guinness flows morning, noon, and night!
New Orleans
The City of New Orleans in the state of Louisiana, United States, is famous for its street parties and incredible, diverse live music scene. The city is steeped in history, and you may recall Hurricane Katrina devastated the area, but the New Orleans people are a resilient bunch, and the city is back to its brilliant best.
Head to Frenchman Street when the sun goes down to enjoy some live music, local bands, and funk dancing, along with some mouth-watering local delicacies. You’ll need plenty of energy from the food as you dance the night away to Cajun and Zydeco music with ultra-friendly people with who you cannot help but make friends with.
Rio de Janeiro
No list of vibrant nightlife cities would be complete without mentioning Brazil’s Rio de Janeiro. Just saying the name conjures up images of costume-clas people taking to the streets in their thousands for the annual Carnival. The Rio Carnival takes place every year before Lent and sees two million people per day on the city’s streets.
Head to Rio for Rock in Rio, the largest music festival in the Latin world, or to the world-famous Copacabana Beach on New Year’s Even where more than 2.5 million people gather for one of the planet’s most-epic celebrations.
Belgrade
You would not think the Serbian capital Belgrade would have a vibrant nightlife, but you would think wrong. Belgrade has often been in the headlines for all the wrong reasons, primarily due to the break-up of the old Yugoslavia. However, with that part of the world now experiencing more peaceful times, the Serbian people love to party.
Belgrade is known as a party city where many clubs remain open throughout the city until dawn. Many of the bars and clubs are located on barges along the banks of the Sava and Danube Rivers. The British newspaper, The Times, reported Belgrade is the number one hotspot for nightlife in Europe. That is high praise indeed.
