Dublin is the capital of Ireland and home to the legendary Temple Bar. It is definitely a city worth visiting as it is among the most beautiful capitals of Europe. Normally, it would take you 3 or 4 days to see it all in stride but also to enjoy the surroundings of Dublin and the coastal villages of Malahide and Howth. However due to the low cost flights that leave you with limited time to spend, you may not have that much. If you all you have is a weekend, for instanse, the following attractions and sights of Dublin are recommended.This is a guide for you then, to enjoy Dublin as much as possible!

Dublin 1 day
On a visit to Dublin, the first day should include a tour of the historical areas of Dublin. You can start with Trinity College and go to the Guinness Storehouse since it is easy to go from one place to another. The Guinness Storehouse can be reached quickly by bus.
The idea is to start at Trinity College, wander through the Temple Bar area during the day (you will see that is very different at night), visit Dublin Castle and the medieval and then you can walk along Rio and go to the Guinness Storehouse.
In the late afternoon return to the Temple Bar area, where you can find restaurants, pubs and clubs, since it is the place that gathers most of the crowd in Dublin.
Dublin Day 2
On the second day (especially if it rains) you should the 2 best museums in Dublin, the National Gallery of Ireland and the National Museum of Ireland. On the other hand, if you like being outdoors you can’ t miss the Phoenix Park that is the largest urban park in Europe.
But the alternative is to make a tour to the places around Dublin. There are two nearby destinations to choose from: Howth and Malahide, if not both!
Howth is a small town that used to be a fishing village.It is really close, a little over half an hour from Dublin and it’s a place where you get easily by public transport.
The alternative option of Malahide is a small village a few kilometers from the city center. It’s a place to relax by the sea or have a good time in a quiet place in any of the dozens of cafes and restaurants. There you can also see Malahide Castle, a castle dating from the twelfth century.
