It is a beautiful photo, the discovery that exists in the heart of Europe, in Slovakia, a country that has become famous thanks to the efforts of the miners, drawing in this city, engineers and scientists, architects and religious so it can be able to erect a monument to one of the most difficult to understand concepts (or mysteries) of Christianity, which is the divine Trinity.
It has been a World Heritage Site since 1993, Banská Štiavnica for centuries has been the destination of excellent engineers and scientists who have contributed to its fame. The old medieval mining center is well grown and transformed into a town with Renaissance palaces and churches, elegant squares and castles. The urban center blends with the surrounding landscape, which contains vital relics of the mining and metallurgical activities of the past, to reach out on Mount Calvary.
According to the Sacred Mounts, Mount Calvary is made up of twenty-four stations placed along the slope in a highly symmetrical, which is painfully depicting the life of Jesus Christ and the Virgin Mary. The main feature of the devotional is the upper church with two towers, consisting of a nave with ellipsoidal lateral prismatic towers.
Things to focus on: the historical center itself, the square of the Holy Trinity with a central column, the two castles, the old and the new with its museums, the mine, six artificial lakes once used for mining and of course Mount Calvary which is located 170 km east of Bratislava.
