The Warriors of Xian | Terra Cotta Warriors and Horses

Did you know that the Terracotta Warriors were created in order represent the reality in a huge mausoleum? The Warriors of Xian The Terracotta Army or the “Terra Cotta Warriors and Horses” are part of the history of China and are composed of over 7000 figures of warriors and horses at an actual size. They were discovered in a water supply construction in 1974. The warriors were buried near the first emperor of Qin dynasty in China, Qin Shi Huang in 210-209 BC. They are currently located in the Mausoleum of the First Emperor Qin and are considered as a World Heritage by UNESCO. The function of the figures of the warriors of Xian was very simple: it sought to represent the reality of those times in a mausoleum. Thus, in 246 B.C. began what was to be the most glorious eternal home of all time, measuring about 56 square miles and is estimated to house still many more figures that are buried.
