Kakadu National Park in the Northern Territory should be high on the list for any traveller that prefers to get off the grid and immerse themselves in nature. Filled with gorges, rock formations, hidden rivers and creeks, and a large amount of ancient Aboriginal art, it is a hiker’s dream come true. The park itself is the true gateway to the Australian Outback, and is about as remote a place as it is possible to find.
