It seems to be an easy question to answer: everybody would answer that there is only the Disneyworld in Orlando! It is true as well as dead wrong in the same time…

I will start with a preliminary question in order to test the knowledge of our fans : how many Disney parks are located in Orlando ?
a) Is there more than one?
b ) There are two Disneylands and one Epcot
c ) There are four
d ) There are six
Most of the goofies have answered ( a) . Do not feel offended if I called you goofies, after all you’re reading this blog and you are on your way to broaden your horizons 🙂
Obviously the answer is wrong.
Whoever read Mickey Mouse as a child will probably have answered ( b ) , but it’s still wrong for two reasons. The first is that the parks are more, the second is that Disneyland (the first, is unique and original) and it is located in California and not in Orlando. I remember from my last holidays to Orlando in Florida that there is a park similar to Disneyland with the classic division into five thematic areas, but it’s called the Magic Kingdom.
This is the most visited park in the world, with over 17 million visitors in 2010-2012.
The other most famous park in Orlando is rightly Epcot, the prototype of the communities of the future dreamed up by Walt Disney himself, which is now the park with futuristic technology attractions but also similar with all the Disney parks.
But let us return now to our quiz. The best informed will be pleased with themselves in having answered ( c ) , four Disney theme parks .
In fact, next to the two most famous we need to add also:
Disney’s Hollywood Studios: This is the park dedicated to the cinema, very similar to the Disney Studios Paris (although many of the attractions are different )
Disney’s Animal Kingdom: This is not a zoo, but a theme park in which the presence of exotic animals (and a real safari!) binds perfectly with the attractions of Disney among the best . All this is located in a setting of lush vegetation. It is the least known in Europe, but it is my favourite park in Orlando !
Unfortunately, the previous one was not the right answer! 🙂
Then it has to be six parks? Is it even possible?
Yes, because we must also consider the two most visited water parks in the world, where the classic attractions such as slides and pools plus the beautiful environments and attention to detail are the typical of Disney.

But there’s still one. I wanted to be picky since I also considered DisneyQuest , but I would not define it a real theme park ( someone already distort the nose for including two water parks ). It is a building in which there are found human pinballs, interactive, 3D and virtual reality games.
Disney Quest is located in Downtown Disney, which is an area that includes shops, restaurants and clubs that are open all day, but especially where it is possible to stay up late ! It’s almost a theme park in its own right where there are many things to do and see.
Stunned by such magnificence? Also in order to visit all the Disney parks you must adequately estimate at least 5 days in which you will be still a bit tight (time-wise).
