The American Badlands or wastelands, as the name implies, are vast expanses of land with little to no life, almost completely dry and barren.
However, you won’t believe that even such landscapes can at least once a year be completely filled with flowers!
You read that right. Every year in Spring, thanks to the moisture gathered a rare but extremely beautiful phenomenon can be observed.
Flowers bloom from every corner of the Badlands, transforming it into one of the biggest flower fields in the world.
It is as if the land after resisting for a long time, gave in, cracked open and from the cracks burst millions of flower yearning for the sunlight. Even if this phenomenon doesn’t last long, it is worth seeing at least once. If you plan to visit Utah, spring is the best time to do so. Make sure to bring a camera so you too can capture the magnificent explosion of flowers.
This may not be the true face of the Badlands, as most of the year they have a opposite image, but many people will prefer the best face of the land even if it lasts a short time. If you do manage to visit let us know about your experience!
