Xitang, China
The history of this city takes us back 2000 years ago. Unlike other cities that have been built next to the water, this one has kept almost intact the traditional and authentic character. Here you will not see tourist boats or souvenir shops, but graphic 100 year old houses with small yards, historic bridges and barefoot locals to drive their boats or to detangle their nets.
St. Petersburg, Russia
Built by Peter the Great in the early 18th century on numerous islands of different sizes.
