One of the great classics to visit England is a pub tour, a great way to sample the local food and wine culture, which also allows you to live an experience of cultural tourism; usually these are considered the most beautiful pubs in the history, architecture and interiors, besides the fact that often are embedded in neighborhoods or villages with unquestionable charm.
You’ll find them easily, while it is a valid reason to make contacts with the locals, which will pay off better than any guide, you can also take a look at the articles on which pitted lists of lists, this type of National Geographic and this the Guardian ones. Everyone has their own preferences and it is likely that the lists are always different, while today we mark a pub in Oxford, otherwise also known to be one of the favorite niches of the writer JRR Tolkien.
The Eagle and Child is in Cornmarket Street within walking distance from the university and there we will find a good selection of craft beers and local authorities, in addition to the traditional menu based on fish and chips, bangers and mash, pancakes with vegetables, hamburger hot sauce and last but not least the chocolate cheesecake with caramel sauce.
