Series Strange hotel, here is The Pigsty, a hotel which is located in North Yorkshire, the North East coast of England, close to the quaint little fishing village of Robin Hood’s Bay.
It is said that the idea of building a Greek temple in the north of England is coming from the English gentleman, in 1880, returning from a long journey in the Mediterranean. Quirky, maybe not as much as the fact that in the beginning pigs used to live there.
Restored, it is currently owned by The Landmark Trust and it does offer a splendid view of the countryside and the bay from under the classical pediment. In order to book for two people, the prices start from 233 pounds for 4 nights.
