It may be a UNESCO World Heritage Site but a combination of nuclear radiation and sharks make it one of the most dangerous islands in the world. Between 1946 and 1958, the island was the site of nuclear weapons tests rendering the local produce hazardous. Despite that, the numerous shipwrecks in the area make it an attraction for divers.
