The Medieval Village of Turin is one of the attractions you cannot miss if you are interested in history. Nestled on the banks of Po in the Parco del Valentino (20-minute walk from Porta Nuova), it was inaugurated April 27, 1884, and is an architectural gem of neomedievalism century, which means that there is only medieval-la-faithful reproduction of houses, courtyards, stairways, furniture and more.
Beyond the canonical spin through its environments (often used to shoot scenes of movies), I do report primarily as an ideal venue for families, who will be able to deepen the knowledge of the Middle Ages thanks to the workshops on herbs, precious stones and the fantastic animals. During the months of June and August 2013 in particular, there will be initiatives of Borgo holidays dedicated to children and young people to do activities with a historical theme park in de fresh and salt in stone.Another gem is the Garden of the medieval village where there are courses on ancient folk remedies, natural methods of cultivation and exhibitions market of plants and herbs. If you love the mountains, register on the 15th and the 16th of June 2013, the dates of the event The Gran Paradiso you can go to town with thematic workshops dedicated to honey, insects, herbs and magic potions and cycling tours to discover the monumental trees of the Valentino Park .
