Difficult to make a good photo of the Louvre, especially one that affects the originality of the recovery. In the era of globalization with the digital, this applies to many monuments and places of tourist interest.
This phenomenon does not escape the Bratislava Castle. Yet in this photograph the photographer manages to frame it from a different perspective, as if trying to hide it, relegating it away, into the background. But he cannot capture: too massive, dominant, central, too white.
Built in the ninth century, reached the height of its splendor between the sixteenth and the eighteenth century, when in Bratislava was crowned the King of the Kingdom of Hungary. Damaged by fire in 1811, was restored only in the 60s, even if the ‘”whitening” was in the last few years. It is still being restored in some parts, but is open to visitors.
Al Castello is obviously the most popular attraction of the city and can be accessed from three different entrances: the door of Vienna, the most popular, the door of Sigmund and that of Nicholas. It can be reached easily by tram lines 203 and 207, getting off at Hrad, two minutes’ walk from the Castle.
Entrance prices: € 4 the full tickets, the reduced costs only € 2 to enter the Bratislava Castle where you can enjoy a splendid view of the city, they say, in the best days, can extend to Vienna.
