The Auditorium Parco della Musica offers for Christmas a program of events dedicated to music, theater, circus, ice skating, games, exhibitions and Christmas shopping. Until the first week in January to its exterior will feature the traditional ice rink, a Christmas market in the pedestrian and Space Serra exhibition market of Caravanserai. This is the place where you can buy handicrafts such as jewelry and accessories, sculptures, clothes, objects ‘furniture, paintings, rugs, toys and sweets.
For more than a month, the foyer of the auditorium is transformed into an “urban village” sparkling decorations and illuminations, complete with Christmas market, playground, and skating rink. Inside, from Tuesday the 11th to Sunday the 23rd of December, Cirque Invisible drags the audience into the visionary world of Victoria Chaplin and Jean-Baptiste Thierrée. The great indeed unique puppeteer Mimmo Cuticchio plants the tents for his first artistic residence commissioned by Musica per Roma. Claudio Baglioni (26th to 30th of December and on the 2nd and the 3rd of January), in the now usual appointment with the Roman public Auditorium, will pursue his extraordinary repertoire. The Auditorium always returns this year from the 20th of December to 31st of December at the Roma Gospel Festival with some of the best groups from the United States. If you are not from Rome and you just went there for the Christmas period you can find some affordable hostels and B&BS adjusted to your needs, situated in the city center.
In the meantime there is a good part of the city dedicated to your little heroes (kids) ; on the 22nd of December will be held the Cartoon Heroes to relive childhood with the music and the stories of the protagonists of the cartoons of the past. For the little ones, on the 29th of December, the music of Tchaikovsky encounters the story of Hoffman in the show of The Nutcracker and the Mouse King of the Open Trios and there will be two rounds of meetings designed to introduce children to the world of music: BioArmonKIds and Ri -Creation Musicale.
