In the center of eastern Italy, in the province of Puglia, Vieste is a very popular resort with many beaches. The most beautiful is that of Castello, which apart from the miles of soft sand dominates a huge white rock on one of the edges. The legend says that a girl named Vieste petrified while waiting for her lover, a fisherman who left one morning and never returned.
The ideal time for you to dive here is the beginning of summer. The hills are surrounded with colorful flowers and grasses. Also impressive are the formations of the rocks.
It is also called the 300 steps, because of the many stairs that have to be descended before someone dives in the dark blue waters. The other way is to approach the beach by sea. Very close to this location, many famous people own villas, such as the house of Franco Zeffirelli. Just because it is on the south side you will enjoy more sun that any corner of the region. Apart from the corners of which are organized guest spots, one can simply spread his beach towel on the sand without a lounger.
La Maddalena, Sardinia
One of the most unique beaches in the world. The water is a kaleidoscope of different shades, as the sand starts white and becomes in some places pink. Not even the locals can’t get enough of its beauty.
Tropea, Reggio, Calabria
It is difficult to choose a beach from this corner of Italy. But here we are dealing with a dramatic backdrop of a sandy beach and ends on the rocks on which the houses of the city hang on it. It is certainly the most dramatic summer location in Italy.
