One of the most popular Museums is The National Museum Cardiff – the place to go if you’re looking to uncover the archaeology, natural history and geology of Wales. It offers an active programme of exhibitions and events, and is also able to boast one of Europe’s most impressive collections of art.

Best of all about the National Museums of Wales is that they’re all free to visit!

The main area for nightclubs and bars in Cardiff is St Mary Street. It has a number of clubs, from the small intimate environments all the way through to the huge super-clubs. Situated around Greyfriars Road you will discover many more large and energetic clubs playing a range of House, Dance and hip hop music. For those of you who favour the live music scene, Cardiff also has some superb live venues where you will find a mixture of up-and-coming names and well known bands performing.

Coasteering

For those of you who don’t know what coasteering is, it is basically making your way round a coastline in whatever way possible. Activities may include diving, jumping, swimming, climbing, scrambling, negotiating and rock hopping. It may sound particularly strenuous, but it is designed to be just enjoyable as it is challenging.

The Vale Resort

The Vale Resort is one of the top golf resorts in the UK and is located just a 15 minute drive from Cardiff city centre. The four star hotel is located on a site that was once part of the historic Hensol Castle estate – a 17th century stately home. The picturesque area where the resort is nestled is one of real beauty and is certain to provide some memorable experiences.

Aberglasney Gardens

The Aberglasney Renovation Trust has, over the last ten years, slowly restored the gardens at this grand Georgian house their previous splendour after hundreds of years of disregard. The house itself is nestled in the lush Tywi Valley in Carmaerthenshire. Its trio of walled gardens include the beautiful Cloister Garden which has a parapet walkway and the Ninafarium which has an abundance of orchids, palms, magnolias and many more colourful species of flora.
