That Brazilian thing that is activated in Rio de Janeiro is certainly one of the most beautiful Christmas trees in the world. From December the 1st this huge artificial fir will beshining brightly on the sea, in the Rodrigo de Freitas lagoon. Fireworks, lights and music greeted the official start of the Christmas period and the setting up of the largest floating Christmas tree in the world.
The show was not very long, but these six minutes of barrels and rockets have kept the eyes on the sky as much as 100 thousand people, fixed on the 85 meters (over 500 tons, 3 million light bulbs) of silver metal motifs decorated this year that recall the four seasons. The Bradesco Seguros Christmas Tree, for the 17th year in a row, will illuminate the nights of Rio, qualifying as the third event of the city, after Carnival and New Year’s celebrations.
