The Madinat Jumeirah Arabian Resort of Dubai is a modern 5-star resort, certainly luxurious, but also one of the greatest of all the emirate, extending for more than 40 hectares. The Resort has been designed to resemble a traditional Arabian town, with lots of channels, with characteristic angles, souks and gardens. Maybe these are not so characteristic, since they are the real luxury for those who live close to the desert.
The resort consists of two boutique hotels, the Al Qasr and Mina A’Salam and a number of cottages (a little less than 30 called Dar Al Masyaf. But it does not end here, because Madinat Jumeirah has over 40 local restaurants and bars.
Additionally they have also a water park, many sports activities, including a wall for free climbing, an entire area for children to play safely, Spa, and a Souk, an entire souk, jewelry stores, perfumes and antiques are all alternated with restaurants and bars.
Sightseeing in Dubai is a must even if you are not staying at the resort, though, as it tells Nikos K on TripandTravelBlog, “It’s all fake, but nice and interesting. Many of the things of modern Dubai are all fake; all built “as it once was.” But I must say that it has its charm, have been able to build it well and fail its effect. It is a shopping centre but it is very pleasant to walk around, see the shops, looking out over the pond, see the silhouette of the Burj Al Arab which is not far and maybe stopping to sip something cool in one of the bars. “
