What to see in Warsaw, Poland

Warsaw is the capital city of Poland. It has become a popular destination for traveling because of the rich history as well as striking attractions making. There are quite a number of must see sights while visiting the city. If you want to relax, you might want to visit the Lazienki Park and Palace or also known as The Palace on the Isle. This is constructed on the lake and accessible through some foot bridges. You can wander around the park or just explore the palace depending on the weather. Chopin monument is another attraction in park. This is the birth place of famous composer Chopin.

It is a good spot for those who love music. Most often musical events happen in the area. Just like Chopin monument, Royal Castle is another reproduction of the original. The exterior of the castle was recreated but the interior remained intact. Most of the furniture and stuff inside are saved from the war. Castle Square is also a great Warsaw site which is being used for gatherings and entertainment. There are other notable squares in the city like Old Town Market Square. This is definitely a good place where you can have snacks while experiencing the city.

Zygmunt’s Column was constructed to commemorate the Polish king in 17th century. It is also found in the Castle Square. This serves as the beginning of Royal Route where you can find history architecture of the city. Monument to the Heroes of the Ghetto is another great place to check out that commemorates people who have died in concentration camps. Warsaw Barbican is a structure that was built to replace gates of Warsaw. Wilanow Palace is a museum that showcases portraits and other eclectic items. The National Library of Poland is where you can find treasured documents like religious texts and maps.
